About

I'm Tiago Gonçalves, a PhD candidate of Informatics, specialty in Informatics Engineering, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa --FCUL). I graduated (2009) and have a master (2011) in Informatics Engineering also from FCUL. Since August 2010, I'm a member of the XLDB research group within LaSIGE.

Advisers

My advisers in my PhD research are Ana Paula Afonso and Bruno Martins, from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), INESC-ID.

During my masters course, my advisers were Ana Paula Afonso and Maria Beatriz Carmo, from the LabMAg research group.

Research Interests

My PhD research is related to the visualization and interaction with spatio-temporal information, more specifically, mobility/trajectory data.

I have also participated in research regarding the visualization and interaction with geographic information systems on mobile devices, particularly in the area of off-screen visualization.
